I remember the PSOne was the first video game console my family owned, and we played the Crash Bandicoot demo to death.Ī few years later, we acquired the first three games in the franchise and we loved them all. Ī 3D plataforma game with the 3 bandicoot brother we're they are running with each other like in Donkey Kong but each have a unique ability that let you reach different places, and if you die with the 3 is game over and if some of them die you need to reach some sort of check point to bring them back, so if you die with one of them you might need to get them back before you proceed to the puzzle, like Crunch would toss crash and coco in a long space were they can't double jump or something and they would drop something so he can pass, that would feel kind great on a crash game.Crash Bandicoot has always been one of my favourite video game characters of all time. Would also love for them to introduce Crash brother back but make it so like they do I'm Donkey Kong were each character have a different type of gameplay and that matters( also change coco so she is different from crash and not just a different skin). It's a unpopular opinion but I kind loved Wrath of Cortex on PS2, that level were you fight Cortex in a Ball and roll the whole level is just amazing, I would love for them to remake that game and make it Resident Evil 2 Style and take some levels but make it a open world.Īdd some kart into the mix since they have the gameplay nailed and adding some kart levels and all would also be great, maybe make Twinsanity+Wrath of Cortex. Man Twinsanity really could have been something.

Having Cortex teach you the mechanics while leading you on in a bastardized disguise of Coco's outfit. Putting a magnifying glass on Cortex's inferiority complex and having fun with Crash's vacuous stupidity.Įven just the tutorial section is brilliant. I love how the narrative focused on the hilarious relationship between Crash and Cortex. The writing of Twinsanity is just chefs kiss. It was bleeding with inspiration with its new mechanics (the Crash/Cortex buddy system), fantastic comedic timing, and the acapella OST was outstanding, and perfectly captured the tone and silliness of the narrative with genuinely catchy songs. Twinsanity was destined to be the Mario Sunshine of the Crash series. Everyone I know that's played Twinsanity adores it and even r/CrashBandicoot has it regarded very highly alongside the ND Trilogy even in spite of its crippling development flaws. Something that struck a balance between Twinsanity and Cortex Strikes Back would be my favorite Crash game, I can say that confidently.ġ00% agree. I don't necessarily like working with a partner and would have preferred the adventure be a singular character, but the more open level design, the music, and to a lesser extent the direction of the humor and story were all things I considered improvements over Naughty Dog's trilogy. Twinsanity, in a way, is the direction I would have liked Crash to go in. I don't know enough about its promotional cycle to say if they did anything differently. Unfortunately "Wrath of Cortex didn't do as well as we'd hoped" and, in the defense of the publisher, there really wasn't much reason to think Twinsanity would be much better.

I really think that game could have energized Crash Bandicoot as a series to the point where it could have succeeded as a multi platform series similar to Sonic, but hopefully with a better following history.
